Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs) are mission-oriented providers of innovation services to industry and governments, dedicated to improving quality of life and building economic competitiveness. The core mission of Research and Technology Organisations is to harness science and technology in the service of innovation. For the first time, the 2015 EARTO annual conference edition was joined with the annual conference of the European Industrial Research Management Association (EIRMA). This cooperation provided great opportunities to deal directly with research, development and innovation challenges of EIRMA member companies that are all major players in European industry.
EARTO & EIRMA Annual Conference 2015 took stock of the current situation regarding collaboration based on knowledge and technology transfer between research and industry. The aim of the conference was to bring together key representatives of RTOs, Industry and EU institutions to discuss the industry’s strategy and research needs linking them to what RTOs are doing and can do in the future to support the European industry.
Infrastructure plays a crucial role in the interface between industry and RTO innovation processes. The objective of the 2 day event focusing on the theme "Infrastructures and Resources Sharing between Industry & RTOs in Europe" was to answer the questions :

The EARTO & EIRMA Annual Conference 2015 was held in Luxembourg on April 28-29, 2015 and brought together 250 participants!
The 2015 EARTO & EIRMA Annual Conference’ theme was "Infrastructures and Resources Sharing between Industry & RTOs in Europe".
