Since 2007 Ragnar Heldt Nielsen has been the director of GTS – Advanced Technology Group (Godkendt Teknologisk Service) the interest organisation of the nine Danish GTS institutes. Here he focuses on the development of the political and administrative framework of the institutes.
Ragnar Heldt Nielsen serves as a national expert in the EC Programme Committee 'SMEs & Access to Risk Finance', and he is heading the steering committee of the national ‘Innovation agent program’ (SME innovation support).
Previously Ragnar has been Department Manager in the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA) with responsibility towards policy development and campaigning, especially in the fields of education, research and innovation policies. Before that, he held a position as consultant at CTU – The Danish National Centre for Technology Supported Learning.
Ragnar Heldt Nielsen holds a master degree in political science with specialization in applied IT (cand.scient.pol) from University of Copenhagen.
