Since October 1st 2011, he is in charge of the European program coordination at the French Atomic and Alternative Energies Commission (CEA, ~16000 employees, 4,5G€ budget www.cea.fr).
After a master degree in Materiel Science (‘86) and a PhD in Electronic (’89), he started at MBDA, a private company, before joining the CNRS-IEMN in October 1992.
From 1998 to 2002 he was the French co-director of the LIMMS at Tokyo, a joint laboratory between CNRS and the University of Tokyo in the field of Integrated Micro Mechatronic System.
He joined CEA on 2002 as manager of the Lithography laboratory at CEA-LETI Grenoble for micro-nanoelectronic applications and CEA-Saclay on September 2008 at the Strategy and Programs division.
